Hello everyone, this is Al Zamora and welcome to 5 Minute Golf Lesson.
Have you ever spent 30 or 60 minutes on a golf lesson and realized that the lesson could have been done in 5 minutes or less. The best golf lessons are short, with a concise message that address the problem you seek to improve. Because the duration of a lesson, sometimes the Teacher's initial and correct message gets lost because of information overload and then trying to correct too many things at once. The best way to improve is correcting one thing at a time, and over a period of time your swing and/or game will take shape. So, if you are a beginner of the game and want self-help, or need direction to solve a problem you have had for years, 5 Minute Golf Lesson offers very real help based on true fundamentals that will make the game more fun and easier for you to improve.
"The Difference Between a Dream and a Goal is a Timeline and an Action Plan"
Because time can be limited, you want to practice efficiently and work on the right things to help you quickly improve. Most importantly, in order to improve you have to make a conscious decision to want to improve and make a consistent effort at the process. This means stepping outside a comfort zone, and altering some of the things you already know, believing that it will benefit you in the long run.
It starts with setting goals, but the goals need to be specific, not generic, a goal like “I want to hit the ball better” is meaningless to your improvement, because it is too general… of course, every golfer wants to hit the ball better… but, how is getting better achieved? A better and more specific goal that has an ‘action plan’ would be “I want to master the fundamentals such as; the grip, stance, posture, ball position, and alignment”. This is very specific, and you have a clear picture of what you want and how to get it. All you have to do - is do it. So, when setting your goal for golf or anything else, make them meaningful and specific.
Thanks for listening.
